Find and remove duplicate photos in 3 easy steps

STEP 1 - Select the Search Option

Select "Look for Similar Pictures"

Look For Same Pictures - This method matches exact duplicate photos.


STEP 2 - Add the Locations

You can add multiple locations including network paths. Please click on Add Path button and add as many folders or drives as you like to scan for duplicate photos.

After adding locations click on the "START SEARCH" button to begin the scanning process.


STEP 3 - Take Actions

First, mark all the photos using Auto Mark > Mark All Duplicate Photos and after marking them select one of the action.

  1. Delete - You can delete files permanently or move them to Recycle Bin.
  2. Move - Move the files to specified folder.
  3. Copy - Copy the files to specified folder.

Note: The output list includes both original photos and duplicates! You need to be careful when you delete or move photos.

Prevent Mistakes

If you by mistake marked all photos in the group then Duplicate Photo Finder will warn and show the below Warning Dialog.

Selection Assistance


  • Clear All
    Clear all the marks/selected items
  • Reverse Selection
    Inverts (reverses) the marks. (i.e. marked files are unmarked, unmarked files are marked).

  • Mark All Duplicate Photos
    Mark all the oldest files and leave the newest one in each group by modified date.

  • Select By Date > Select all older files
    Mark all the oldest files and leave the newest one in each group by modified date.
  • Select By Date > Select all newer files
    Mark all the newest files and leave the oldest one in each group by modified date.

  • Select By Size > Select all bigger files
    Mark all the biggest files and leave the smaller one in each group by File Size.
  • Select By Size > Select all smaller files
    Mark all the smaller files and leave the biggest one in each group by File Size.

  • Select By Path Length > Select all long paths
    Mark all the longest file paths and leave the shorter one in each group
  • Select By Path Length > Select all short paths
    Mark all the shortest file paths and leave the longer one in each group

  • Select By File Name Length > Select all long file names
    Mark all the longest files names and leave the shorter one in each group
  • Select By File Name Length > Select all short file names
    Mark all the shortest files names and leave the longer one in each group
